Set up Email

Setting up your Outlook Express E-mail Account

  1. Open Outlook Express.

     
  2. From the “Tools” meñu, click “Accounts.”
     
  3. Click the “Mail” tab.
  4. Highlight your account as it is listed.
     
  5. Select “Properties.”
  6. Click the “General” tab.
     
  7. Under “Mail Account,” enter “orcasonline” or your email address.
     
  8. Under “User Information,” enter your name in the name field.
     
  9. You can leave “Organization” blank. It is an optional field.
     
  10. Your email address for Orcas Online should be: username@orcasonline.com
     
  11. You can leave “Reply address” blank, or enter an alternate email address.
     
  12. To continue to review and/or configure our settings, click the “Servers” tab.
  13. Verify that “My incoming mail server” is “POP3″ server.
     
  14. “Incoming mail server (POP3)” should read:
    mail.orcasonline.com.
     
  15. “Outgoing mail server (SMTP)” should read:
    smtp.orcasonline.com.
     
  16. Verify that you have selected the “Log on” user box.
     
  17. The account name will display the portion of your email address before the @orcasonline.com (in lower case letters) - Example: “username.”
     
  18. Re-enter Password (in lower case letters). Click “OK” - Click “CLOSE.”
