Orcas Island was the first place flower bulbs were grown commercially in Washington State. In 1892, Captain George Gibbs amazed the Dutch with his remarkable success in growing tulips, lilies, hyacinths, and daffodils. We continue this tradition today thanks to the island's idyllic environment for flowers & people.

"Thank you so much for those glorious sunflowers. They were beautiful and perfect for our dinner event."
