Apples

Akane – Red skin, ripens early September.  Crisp, white and juicy.  Excellent eating and dessert variety. Needs pollinizer.

Chehalis - Large yellow apple.  Good cooking apple, mild flavor.  Resists apple scab.  Ripens mid-September.  Self-fertile.

Cox’s Orange Pippin - Medium size, orange-red over deep yellow, firm, aromatic.  Late September, early October.  Needs pollinizer.

Elstar - A very scab resistant tree, fruit quality is excellent, sweet-tart flavor, medium size.  Should be picked green and stored for about a month.

Gravenstein - Red stripped over deep yellow.  Crisp, aromatic, juicy, excellent flavor.  Good applesauce.  Early fall.  Will not pollinate others.  Needs pollinizer.

Jonagold - Red stripped over yellow background.  Keeps until March.  Good cooking and eating apple.  Ripens in October. Low in acid.  Will not pollinate others.  Needs pollinizer.

King - Large, waxy yellow with red stripes.  Firm, crisp and sweet.  Excellent keeper.  Good dessert apple.  Mid to late October.  Will not pollinate others.  Needs pollinizer.

Liberty - Red, crisp and juicy.  New disease resistant variety.  Late October.  Good for fresh eating.  Needs pollinizer.

Macoun - Medium, red-stripped on green.  Aromatic,  white, firm, very high quality.  Biennial bearer.  Needs pollinizer.

Melrose - Highly rated home-orchard apple.  Medium to large.  Red stripes over deep red, white flesh, aromatic, mildly sub-acid.  Excellent storage.  Ripens late October.  Self-fertile.

Red Gravenstein - Large, highly colored red.  Flesh is firm, crisp, good flavor.  Early fall.  Will not pollinate others.  Needs pollinizer.

Spartan - Small to medium, dark red, crisp, excellent flavor.  Good storage.  Heavy bearer, should be thinned.  Self-fertile.

Summerred - Medium, bright  red,  tart and juicy.  Consistent annual  bearer. Late August.

Whitney Crabapple - Very good eating and jelly apple.

William’s Pride - Disease resistant.  Bright red.  Early August.

Yellow Delicious - Yellow, aromatic, crisp, excellent for eating and cooking.  Late.

Espaliered three-way graft - Spartan, Gala, Jonagold. Or Spartan and Jonagold only.

Pears

Bartlett - Medium to large, thin skinned.  Very sweet and tender.  Ripens early.

Orcas - Suitable for canning , drying and fresh eating.  Late.

Conference - Medium-sized, golden speckled, long necked fruit.  Superb sweet and spicy flavor.  Good for this area.  Harvest in late September.

Asian Pears

20th Century (Nijisseiki) - Excellent quality.  Pollinates European pears.  Late August.

Shinseiki - Medium round, crisp and juicy.  Mid-August.

Plums

Brooks - Early Italian type.

Hollywood Plum - Red leaves,  purple fruit for fresh eating and jam.

Italian Prune - E.  Medium, purplish-black, sweet.  Excellent fresh, for canning and also dried.  Late mid-season.

Methley - J.  Reddish purple with red flesh, juicy and sweet.  Early.  Needs pollinizer.

Shiro - J. Large, round, golden yellow with yellow flesh.  Mid-season.

Cherries

Early Burlat - Large, firm, red meaty fruit of excellent quality.  Ripens in June.  Semi-dwarf or dwarf on Gisela rootstock.

Hardy Giant - Dark red fruit, good pollinizer. Semi-dwarf.

Montmorency - Sour cherry, small, bright red, soft, juicy, sweet-tart fruit.  Mid-season.  Self -fertile.  Semi-dwarf or dwarf on Gisela rootstock.

Rainier - Yellow skin with pink blush.  Larger than Royal Ann.  Good pollinizer.  Semi-dwarf or dwarf on Gisela rootstock

Royal Ann - Light yellow fruit with pink blush. Tender, crisp, sprightly flavor.  Semi-dwarf or dwarf on Gisela rootstock.

Sweetheart - Vigorous, self-fertile,  large, dark red fruit ripening late July.  Good quality and flavor. Dwarf on Gisela* rootstock.

*    Gisela Rootstock, ™ was developed in Germany.  It is used to produce a true dwarf tree, approximately 40% of standard size.  It is a highly productive tree, and bears fruit at a very young age, 1 to 2 years.

Other fruits 

Frost Peach - Leaf-curl resistant.  Medium to large fruit, yellow flesh, freestone, good to excellent quality, heavy producer.  Mid August, self-fertile.  Prune 30% to insure proper bud-break in spring.

Puget Gold Apricot - Medium size, flesh firm, sweet.  Mid-august, self-fertile.

Filberts - Barcelona-roundish large. Butler-oval. Pollinate each other.
